Option of the law lump sum amount postponed to 2025

In an earlier news item , we informed you about a possible new choice in 2024: withdrawing a maximum of 10% of your pension in one go. The introduction of this new law has been postponed again. The House of Representatives will not be able to discuss the law this year. The House of Representatives now has this topic on the agenda in early 2024.

It is therefore no longer feasible to introduce the law on 1 July 2024. This means that the lump sum option will also be introduced no earlier than 1 January 2025. Whether this will succeed depends of course on the House of Representatives and the progress of the process. We will keep you informed of developments regarding this law via the website.

What do you need to do?
Nothing yet. The law that regulates this is not yet in place. Six months before you retire, we will automatically present this choice to you if the law has been passed. Then we will also show you what is possible for you personally.
