Question of the month: I'm moving. How do I pass that on?

Every month we answer a question in this section. These are questions that are often asked to employees at our customer service. This month's question is:

I'm moving. How do I pass that on?

Are you moving soon? Then you probably have a lot to arrange! Passing on your new address to family, friends and organizations, for example. We are regularly asked whether you have to inform StiPP of your new address when you move. That depends on whether you move within/to the Netherlands or abroad.

You must report this to a new address
  • Are you moving within the Netherlands or are you moving to the Netherlands from abroad?
And do you report this to the municipality?
Then you don't have to report anything. We will automatically receive your new address from the municipality where you registered.
  • Are you moving abroad?
You can deregister from the municipality. Your personal data will then be transferred to the Non-Residents Registration (RNI). The RNI will then pass on your new address to StiPP. You can also inform us of your new address directly via My StiPP Pension.
  • Are you moving to another address abroad?
Inform us of your new address via My StiPP Pension. Or provide your address to the Non-Residents Registration (RNI). The RNI then passes on your address to StiPP.
  • Do you want to receive your mail at a different address?
You can provide a correspondence address by logging in to My StiPP Pension. You can do this in the 'My data' section.

Good to know

There are a number of other things to take into account when moving abroad. For example, different tax rules apply abroad. Read more on our moving page.
