Social partners, such as employers and trade unions, will make agreements about a new pension scheme. They record these agreements in a 'transition plan'.
Associations of former participants and pensioners can make their voices heard
Former participants and pensioners are not directly involved in the decisions made for the transition plan. That is why associations of pensioners and former participants are also given the opportunity to give their opinion on the plans through the statutory hearing right. The transition plan is not yet available. As soon as this plan is in place, the plan will be published on the website.
Conditions for associations
Would you like to make use of the hearing right as an association? Then your association must meet certain requirements:
- It must be an association with full legal capacity.
- The articles of association must state that they represent the interests of pensioners and/or former participants.
- The association must represent at least 1,000 pensioners or former members, or 10% of all pensioners or former members of the pension fund.
